HI! Welcome to the Technology 4 Classroom Wikispace.
I'm Jessica White and I am a Campus Instructional Technologist at Mt. View Elementary. I believe that it is important to integrate all types of technology into your classroom and expose your students to the resources and information so that is it easily attainable. In my job, not only do I enjoy working with students and teachers in the computer lab, but I get to train teachers on all the latest technology. The reason I created this wiki is to put all my training resources in one central location. My colleague Anna Adam gave me the idea and I think it's wonderful! It is so important to give teachers the information in a way that makes them say "I can do that" instead of "When will I have time for that?".
Another great reason to use the wiki is the discussion tab. It allows us to discuss maybe questions or tips that we learn. It allows all viewers to see the questions, answers, tips, and/or resources in one central location. It saves me time from having to repeat email. It also allows us to be more self-sufficient in seeking help, tutorials, and resources.
I am Holly D. Landez, Campus Instructional Technologist at Pershing Park Elementary . I'm lucky enough to have the best job in the school! I get to help students attain technology skills every day. What I enjoy most is when students, those digital natives, can show me something that I never knew how to do before. They approach technology with fervor, not fear!
Additionally, I enjoy working with teachers to help them stay abreast of what is new with technology for their students. Teachers get excited just like the kids do! It's a bonus when I can help them find an activity, project or skill that will motivate students or SAVE TEACHERS TIME.
I look forward to helping you learn methods of implementing technology with your students.
